Philanthrophy
Our sorority has adopted four national philanthropies: Prevent Child Abuse America, Girl Scouts of the USA, Orthopedic Research Awards, and the Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia. Every spring, Kappa Delta produces an annual Shamrock Event to raise money for Prevent Child Abuse America. This past Spring, Kappa Delta put on Lifestyles of the Greek and Famous competition, where campus fraternities and sororities are given the chance to perform as a famous music group of their choice. The members compete to raise money for charity. Some of our most valued service also comes from working with Girl Scouts. Kay Dees and Girl Scouts share fun and service through tea parties, book drives, and picnics.

As Kappa Deltas, we are very lucky to be able to work with our local Girl Scout Troops. We have helped different troops sell cookies in our very own greek circle. We have helped them have successful book drives. Our chapter loves having the ablity to work with these amazing girls.

Each year we hold our Shamrock event that supports Prevent Child Abuse America. We try to do the most good we can for this amazing cause that benefits our local Joshua House and the abused children that take refuge there. Our chapter has been very involved with the Children's Home Society which has helped us form a strong relationship with all the members of the non-profit organization. Check out our Shamrock Event page for more information about our philanthropy event.
